Andrew Lefkowitz - Background as Attorney and Biotech Leader

Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Andrew Lefkowitz guided a leading-edge biotech fermentation company that produce eco-friendly chemicals. These take the place of traditional chemicals and help meet ambitious decarbonization mandates. He worked to ensure US and international compliance with environmental law, and was listed as co-inventor on 11 patents. Andrew Lefkowitz also guided significant capital-raising efforts including equity, intellectual property-backed, and unsecured debt financing.

Mr. Lefkowitz’s past experience includes a role as CEO with Ganeden Biotech, where he managed the launch of over-the-counter products distributed in more than 60,000 retail locations nationwide. He also oversaw investor relations and supervised negotiations for licensee agreements in 65 countries for 800 food and beverage products. Ultimately, Mr. Lefkowitz negotiated a successful company sale to Kerry Group, which yielded a 24x return on earnings.

Andrew Lefkowitz also has experience running his own law firm and working as an associate at Jones, Day and as a partner with Miami practices such as Shea and Gould and Broad and Cassel. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University, he has served on the board of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and been active with the Wellness Institute Leadership Board of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
